The Chayil Homeschool Martial Arts Curriculum was developed by Master Sara Schwab, a 15 year veteran homeschooler. She understands the struggle homeschool parents face to give their children quality physical education without having to shuffle kids from one activity to another. She also knows how difficult it can be to find new, innovative ways to keep kids engaged and excited about education. The Homeschool Martial Arts Curriculum is a fun, train-at-home Taekwondo system, allowing home educators to submit videos and progress reports of students’ performance to our team of instructors for evaluation. They even have the option of earning belts (all the way to black!) with this system.
Each level of curriculum has 36 lessons, designed for twice per week instruction. Lessons are taught by Grand Master Scott Schwab, 9th dan black belt in Taekwondo and Hapkido, and 7th dan in Judo. Once a week, Grand Master Schwab is available for "office hours", so students/parents can ask questions and get to know their teacher. Lessons are presented in a fun, enjoyable format, consisting of various techniques and their applications, forms and self defense. Students will also learn the rich history of Taekwondo. No Eastern philosophies are taught in these courses.
